NTT Datawall 3D Environment

Being part of SMT’s first time handling the NTT DATA Wall at the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush in 2025 was an incredible opportunity. This was a landmark moment for SMT, as we showcased NTT DATA’s ShotView technology, creating a whole new way for fans to experience the tournament in the Spectator Village. It was exciting to be part of a team pushing the boundaries of fan engagement at such a prestigious event.

As a creative member of the team, my role focused on building accurate, true-to-scale 3D models of the Royal Portrush course. The goal was to create a digital representation of the real course that would support real-time data visualization, seamlessly integrating with NTT Data's Information and ShotView Technology to track ball flight and display player statistics. Every model, from the fairways to the greens and bunkers, had to be meticulously crafted to match the real-world dimensions and materials. Working alongside a skilled team, I helped ensure that the course felt authentic and provided fans with an immersive, data-driven experience that elevated their connection to the event.
